To be what we choose to be, or not

Trending a while ago was a picture of a young lady standing casually in front of a poster of an Indian film, There was a silent cheer all over the place, people acknowledging the fact that one particular person took the efforts to make sure she attended a movie screening.

196 Countries on this planet, hundreds of films releasing per day, Zillion movie goers, then why did this particular image catch my eye?

Well for once the movie was about a certain lady who was killed by weirdos in the name of religion, and the movie goer was also a young lady who was shot in the head by other weirdos in the name of religion!

You see? This girl is just another kid on the block but the reason she stands out of the rest is because she actually took a stand. So much has already been written about the life and visions of Malala Yousafzai that emphasizing on them would only be redundant and the same goes with Neerja Bhanot.

But what makes me write today after a huge lapse of 60 days is that I realized something very human.
You see as we previously agreed that there are more than a hundred countries, so many ideologies that might sprout out of the human mind.
You see conflict is again something that is very natural and that is the true beauty of the human mind. As long as there will be clerics who, as a result of the hogwash included diet, order their brainwashed bozos to go grab their Dusty AK47’s and go pew pew pew on all the people who disagree to their ideologies; There will be people who are ready to lay down their lives just to make a difference.

Its only human nature to make radical decisions, to lay down the gun or to empty the mag in someones skull is only a matter of choice, Few seconds is what it needs for the brain to analyze and take a haphazard decision to send someone to their maker.

On the contrary to sacrifice oneself its again a two faced coin, every country’s terrorist is another country’s martyr. That is exactly when our brain divorces logic. In the end it boils down to principles, to ethics and ethics are again a vector, They need to have a direction. Ethics towards whom?
Okay lets put ourselves in the shoes of a bearded bearer of a Kalashnikov, you have been fed a propaganda, you have been told you’ve been wronged, you’ve been told injustice has been done to you and your kin. So squeeze hard on the trigger and just avenge all the wrong.
(Yeah thats more or less the gist … always)
Now lets put ourselves into the shoes of people who put down their lives just because they believe that, either their lives are cheaper than the others or others deserve to live and are worth protecting or because they believe in some other humanitarian philosophy that contradicts the extremist theories.

Did you notice the difference? If yes, then great, if no, then no worries, I’m happy to help you with that.
The only difference between these two guys is that the first one was just a empty headed moron, whose head was just like an empty hard drive, fill it with porn or fill it with a financial DBMS, its always ready to nod and at your service, Just like the character “lurch” fom the 90’s cartoon “the Adams family”
and the second one had his own brain which could actually differentiate between right and left, why left? well because there is nothing really called wrong.
Confusing as it can seem, its actually very simple, wrong is again something that makes you radical, makes you a fanatic, the real juice of life lies on a balance between right and wrong really.

Imagine you are a person trying to save someones sorry ass from a bearded, turban wearing, gun wielding, crap artist. You don’t even know who you’re saving and the ones who you are saving are only cowering under the sheets, pretending to be mice.

As long as you the reader are here, thinking and wondering can I actually make a difference? well yus!
you can!
There will be fanaticism, there will be racists, are you one of them? or you have your own brain to believe in yourself as a person?

Interestingly in India there is a particular sect of individuals that demands special reservation on grounds of belonging to a minority clan, well if you are among those kind, let me tell you to try and think about going and joining the border security forces and make use of yourselves because every country needs meat-bags to take them bullets.

It actually disappoints me when I see animals follow the laws of natures and humans on the other hand consist of a small group of ideologists, a bigger group of fanatics, and the rest are just hogwash. You look at the world through a yellow glass and the world becomes yellow. Doesn’t mean its yellow for everyone else.
You know what? purpose is missing here… the moment our lives have purpose we start to make a difference. until then… its just, pew pew pew pew pew pew !!
